Peppermint is used to assist in raising internal heat and inducing perspiration, often known as a cooling herb. Peppermint tea is used as a remedy for chills or colds and infusions of equal quantities of peppermint herb and elderflowers can banish a cold or mild attack of influenza. Peppermint tea is also used for palpitation of the heart. It is said to have marked antiseptic properties. Used in the treatment of gastrodynia, flatulent colic, hysteria, spasms or cramps of the stomach and to stop nausea or vomiting, it is also a wonderful addition to a bath or foot spa to cool and soothe tired or aching feet. This dried peppermint leaf is finely cut and of top quality with a multitude of uses.
